Ancient Origins:
Many civilizations have practiced Martial arts for thousands of years and its recorded history was started around 3000 BCE. Martial Arts was started as a means of combat training and self-defense, and another reason was to protect themselves and their family from enemies’ attack, in the Xia Dynasty we have some sort of evidence about the systems of King Fu and other Martial Arts tactics. Like in Ancient India, we have some textual evidence such as Mahabharata and Vedas, which provide information about their Martial Art and combat techniques training and textual data written around 1500. Early Martial Arts techniques were developed for the military context which provided the soldiers with an important skill and helped them during the war.

Chinese Martial Arts (Kung Fu)
Chinese developed King Fu and it has a fascinating and long history of thousands of years. At the end of the 5th century CE, The Shaolin Temple was developed by the Chinese, and later on it played a vital development in Martial Arts, it also became the hub of Martial Arts many people came across the world to learn King Fu. The Shaolin King Fu was characterized due to its dynamic movements and was very impactful on not only physical health but also Mental health, later on, it, became one the most unique and impactful styles of Chinese Martial Arts. In the 17th century, the Chinese Martial Art technique called Tai Chi Chuan had slow and flowing movements, Tai Chi Chuan is a form of internal Martial Art that aimed at Spiritual well-being and Promoting health.

Japanese Martial Arts
Japan also has a rich tradition of Martial arts, having an amazing cultural history. Judo is one the most famous Japanese Martial technique and it was founded in 1882 by Jigoro Kano, it was an modernize form of Jiu-Jitsu. Another very important Japanese Martial Art technique is Karate; in the 20th century it originated in Okinawa and later on, it spread all over Japan. In the early 20th century, Morihei Ueshiba developed Aikido, which focuses on the use of Joint locks and throws to redirect the opponent’s energy. Kindo technique was used during sword fights, it was practiced with protective armor and bamboo swords, this technique originated from traditional samurai swordsmanship.

Korean Martial Arts
Martial Arts got recognized worldwide when Korea introduced various unique Martial art techniques. Korean most famous and well-known martial art is Taekwondo and it was developed in 1955. It focuses on high kicks and fast-paced techniques. In the mid-20th century, Hapkido was developed by a well-known Korean Martial teacher. Hapkido martial arts focuses on self-defense and joint lock techniques, strikes, and throws. Tang Soo Do is a Korean traditional martial art having a Korean ancient history. Tang Soo Do focuses on both physical and mental health improvement through tough training and discipline.

Southeast Asian Martial Arts
Southeast Asia plays an important role in Martial arts history because it has a rich cultural and traditional root and much greater influence due to diverse cultural and historical factors. Muay Thai also known as Thai boxing, it was developed in Thailand and it is famous for its clinching techniques, powerful strikes and the use of elbows and knees. Silat is practiced by Indonesians and Malaysians, it focuses on wage range of techniques including intricate footwork, fluid movements and the use of knifes. Eskrima, Kali and Arnis was developed by Philippians, it encompasses knife fighting, stick fighting and empty hand techniques, it also has a long history of combat welfare in Filipino warrior culture.

European Martial Arts
European Martial arts have a history of centuries, it includes many styles of combat which was developed for both sport and self-defense. Historical fencing which focuses on swordsmanship, dagger fighting, and unarmed combat, it got recognized during the Middle Ages and Renaissance Periods. Ancient Rome and Greece have roots in “Boxing”, later on, “Boxing” became popular support in Great Britain during the 18th century which led to the modernization of Boxing rules and techniques. Bruce Lee introduced One Inch Punch in 1964, Bruce Lee delivered a punch Inch away from the opponent’s face after successfully delivering a punch he became so due to his one-inch punch. In Ancient times Wrestling was one the most famous games in Europe, with time Wrestling was modernized and its rules and regulations changed but still, it is one of the most famous Martial arts till now.

Nowadays many martial arts schools offering many programs for physical fitness, self-defense, and personal development. Many females are learning martial arts to protect themselves in dangerous situations. Due to advancements in Technology now everyone can learn from different parts of the world by watching videos and online classes. In the early 21st century Chinese introduced a Ranking system in Martial arts which also became the reason for its enormous fame. The rise of mixed martial arts (MMA) become one the most popular combat game now a days. UFC and One Championship arrange MMA combat fight matches in which fighter came all over the world to took part in fighting.
